Senator Susan Manchester has started her first term in the Ohio Senate as the new General Assembly began on January 6. Previously, she served three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives since 2018. Senator Manchester represents the 12th Senate District, which encompasses all of Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Mercer, and Shelby counties, along with parts of Darke and Logan counties.
The senator represents several electric cooperatives including Paulding Putnam EC, Hancock-Wood EC, Midwest Electric, Mid-Ohio Energy, Logan County EC, URE (Union), Pioneer EC, and Darke REC. Her legislative focus has been on addressing community needs such as those concerning Ohio's children and beginning farmers. She has also been appointed to serve on the Energy and Public Utilities Committee in the Senate.
Representative Jodi Salvo is serving her first term in the Ohio House of Representatives for District 51. This district includes Tuscarawas County and parts of Stark County. Cooperatives in her district include Carroll EC, Frontier Power Co., Guernsey-Muskingum EC, and Holmes-Wayne EC.
Before joining the legislature, Representative Salvo worked as a nonprofit director and was involved in medical social work and managing rehabilitation unit cases. She has been appointed to serve on the House Energy Committee.
