FirstEnergy Corp. has appointed Karen Kinslow as Vice President of Pennsylvania Operations, effective July 28. In her new role, Kinslow will manage the delivery of electricity to over two million customers in Pennsylvania and lead efforts to enhance customer experience. She will report to John Hawkins, President of FirstEnergy Pennsylvania.

John Hawkins stated, "Karen brings a powerful combination of operational expertise, strategic insight and deep understanding of Pennsylvania's energy landscape. As a native of the state, she is uniquely attuned to the needs of our communities. Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue modernizing our grid and enhancing service for our customers."

Kinslow comes with nearly 20 years in the utility sector, having previously served as Vice President of Distribution Operations at Dominion Energy Virginia. There she managed electric distribution for 2.7 million customers across two states and focused on improving grid resiliency and customer service.

Her career includes roles in engineering, customer operations, and strategic planning. She also worked as a consultant with UMS Group advising utilities on performance improvement.

Kinslow holds a Bachelor’s degree in industrial and management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
