Questions regarding the electrical distribution system from members can now be addressed with more confidence by personnel after attending the "Electric System Workshop for Non‐Operations Personnel." This free workshop, described as fast-paced, focuses on providing a deeper understanding of electric distribution systems. According to the description, it will help personnel with safety and liability concerns while also enhancing communication skills regarding the behavior of distribution systems.
The workshop targets member services personnel as well as other non-operations staff wishing to increase their fundamental knowledge of electric systems. Additionally, attendees have the chance to visit the COLT indoor training facility.
The event is scheduled for May 27 and 28, with two sessions per day. The sessions will occur at COLT Field, situated behind Consolidated Cooperative in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. Participation is limited to 20 attendees per session, and interested individuals are encouraged to register by May 2, 2025, via the OEC private site.
While there is no fee to attend, lunch will not be provided. For any registration difficulties, Harrison Metcalf can be contacted at 614‐681‐5154 or via email at hmetcalf@ohioec.org.
