FirstEnergy appoints new vice presidents for investor relations and continuous improvement

FirstEnergy Corp. has announced the appointment of Karen Sagot as Vice President of Investor Relations, effective November 10, and Sean Davies as Vice President of Continuous Improvement, effective November 18.

In her new role, Sagot will lead FirstEnergy's investor relations strategy, promoting its financial and strategic vision while overseeing communications with investors. She will report to Jon Taylor, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "Karen's proven track record of developing relationships through strategic and transparent communications across industries makes her the ideal candidate for this role," said Taylor. "She is a strategic and decisive leader who brings a deep understanding of our industry."

Davies will focus on driving innovation and operational efficiency at FirstEnergy as Vice President of Continuous Improvement. He will develop strategies to optimize business processes and improve performance to achieve the company's objectives. Davies will report to John Combs, Senior Vice President, Shared Services. Combs expressed confidence in Davies' abilities: "With deep experience leading global and enterprise-wide transformations... His expertise will help us continually refine and enhance the work we do."

Sagot was previously Head of Investor Relations at Enphase Energy and has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate banking with roles at J.P. Morgan and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She holds degrees in economics and finance from Brandeis University.

Davies joins FirstEnergy from J.P. Morgan Chase where he served as Senior Executive Director, Head of Business Management, Governance, Risk and Compliance. He is a certified LEAN practitioner with a background in mechanical engineering from University of Maryland Baltimore County and an MBA from Loyola College.
