Electric cooperatives announce teams for 2024 step challenge

Adams Rural Electric and several other cooperatives have announced their participation in the 2024 Walk The Line Step Challenge. Teams from various cooperatives will compete in this annual event aimed at promoting health and wellness among employees.

Representing Adams Rural Electric, the Amped Avengers will be vying for top honors. Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative has fielded two teams: The Honey Badgers and The Squirrels.

Butler Rural Electric Cooperative is participating with two teams as well: Pacer Racers and The Young and The Breathless. Consolidated Cooperative's entrants include Holy Walkamolies, Team Step Potential, and 6MW's.

Darke Rural Electric Cooperative has entered Watt Up Warriors and KVARs. Firelands' representatives are Scrambled Legs and Achin' along with Walkin on Sunshine.

Logan County Electric Cooperative will be represented by We Thought You Said Rum, Walk this Way, and Walkie Talkies. Mid-Ohio Energy's participants include Red Hot Chili Steppers and Grid Runners.

Midwest Electric has entered Agony of Da Feet, A Step Ahead, and Rumrunners into the competition. North Western Electric's sole entry is Northwest Nemesis.

South Central Power is competing with Yellow is the New Black, Are We There Yet, and Are We There Yet - Lewis and Swinehart.

The Energy Co-op's teams are The Wonder Walkers, Gas Rats, and Scrambled Legs. URE will participate with Worst Place Scenario, Like Run But Different, and U're So Slow it Hertz.

Finally, Washington Electric Cooperative has entered Wacky WECI Walkers into the challenge.

The event aims to foster camaraderie among employees while encouraging a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.
