Duke Energy is offering Florida customers the opportunity to earn up to $1,700 in rebate incentives through its Home Energy Improvement program. The program aims to help customers enhance their home's energy efficiency, lower their bills, and add value to their property.

Melissa Seixas, Duke Energy Florida state president, emphasized the importance of reaching out to the company before making any home improvements: "It’s important that customers reach out to us before they make improvements on their HVAC systems, windows, ducts and attic insulation so we can help you save money and energy while adding value to your home."

To participate in the program, residential customers who have not had a Home Energy Check within the past two years can complete a free Home Energy Check online. This assessment provides customers with a report detailing their home's past and current energy usage, as well as expert recommendations for improvements to increase energy efficiency.

Once the Home Energy Check is completed, customers may qualify for various incentives and rebate offers based on their home type. For single-family homes, these include rebates for upgrading attic insulation, duct testing and repairs, high-efficiency HVAC replacement, and energy-efficient windows. Manufactured homes and multifamily properties can qualify for rebates on HVAC replacement.

To complete the free Home Energy Check assessment online, customers can visit duke-energy.com/HEC. More information about the Home Energy Improvement rebates program can be found at duke-energy.com/HEI. Additionally, customers who participate in any of the Home Energy Improvement rebates programs may be eligible for a free quality control compliance inspection by emailing HEIinspections@duke-energy.com.
