Private client selects Kokosing Solar for complex 3.9 MW DC project in Ohio

0Comments

When a private client sought bids for a solar EPC partner to install a 3.9 MW DC solar array, they selected Kokosing Solar for its industry experience. The project required extensive collaboration with structural engineers, racking manufacturers, FM Global, SCADA technicians, and the client.

This complex project included four electrical rooms, each equipped with different communication and weather systems. During commissioning, both the client and utility required the installation of a third-party SCADA system to remotely monitor and regulate net export energy off-site. The new equipment was not natively integrated with the original system. Kokosing Solar worked closely with manufacturers to create a link connecting the two communication systems.

During this project, Kokosing Solar utilized Solmetric I-V curve tracer and Infrared Scanning technology to improve the commissioning timeline.

Location: Ohio
System Size: 3.947 MW DC
