The impact of the suspected tornadoes in Delaware County is significant, with “at least 30 utility poles broken and six high-voltage transmission towers toppled,” as reported by AEP Ohio. The aftermath of the storm has left approximately 10,800 customers without power in the Delaware and Pomeroy areas.
AEP Ohio reassures customers that additional crews will be deployed as needed to expedite the restoration process. The company stated, “As needed, additional crews will join the restoration effort. We’ll work safely and as quickly as possible to get the power back on for all customers.”
