Ohio families face rising energy costs; Kokosing Solar highlights benefits of switching to solar

0Comments

Electricity rates in Ohio have increased by about 8% per year over the past several years, leading to higher costs for families across the state. For an average Ohio household using 15,000 kWh annually at the current rate of $0.18 per kWh, staying with traditional utility providers could result in spending approximately $305,000 on electricity over a typical homeowner’s lifetime.

Solar power offers an alternative that can significantly reduce or eliminate these ongoing expenses. By installing solar panels, homeowners invest in a system that generates clean energy for decades and reduces dependence on rising utility rates.

In addition to savings on monthly bills, installing solar panels may also increase property value. According to SolarReviews (2025), homes equipped with solar systems sell for an average of 6.9% more than similar homes without them.

“Every year you wait, the utility bill gets higher. Every year you go solar, those dollars stay in your pocket,” Kokosing Solar stated.

Kokosing Solar has been providing services to Ohio homeowners seeking control over their energy expenses for 25 years. The company encourages residents to schedule a free assessment to determine potential savings from switching to solar power.
