Doug Mokoid, the newly appointed president of FirstEnergy New Jersey, has expressed his enthusiasm for leading the organization. In a recent communication to customers, Mokoid shared his commitment to enhancing local decision-making and accountability within JCP&L, part of FirstEnergy’s network.
Mokoid is a lifelong resident of New Jersey with deep ties to the state. He is originally from South Jersey and an alumnus of Rutgers University. His career in the energy sector has been centered in New Jersey, providing him with a strong understanding of the state’s communities and their unique needs.
In his message, Mokoid emphasized his goal to bring decision-making closer to customers. “This shift is part of how we’re enhancing our ability to address your local priorities and needs,” he stated.
