FirstEnergy appoints Mark Andrade as VP of enterprise technology

FirstEnergy Corp. has announced the appointment of Mark Andrade as Vice President of Enterprise Technology, effective December 2. In his new role, Andrade will be responsible for advancing FirstEnergy’s technology modernization and digital transformation efforts in alignment with the company’s strategic goals. He will report to John Combs, Senior Vice President of Shared Services.

John Combs expressed confidence in Andrade’s abilities, stating, “Mark is a forward-thinking executive recognized for operational excellence and his ability to build high-performing teams. With his expertise in digital and organizational transformation, enterprise architecture and cloud solutions, I’m confident Mark will help FirstEnergy continue harnessing the power of technology to empower our employees, better serve our customers and advance our transition into a premier electric company.”

Before joining FirstEnergy, Andrade served as Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer for Enterprise Platforms at JPMorgan Chase & Co. since 2018. His responsibilities included executing an enterprise platform modernization strategy and transforming legacy systems into modern cloud-based platforms. Andrade has also held significant roles at Wolters Kluwer as Global Head of Enterprise Platforms and Operations among other leadership positions.
