Columbia Gas of Ohio shares energy-saving advice ahead of Energy Efficiency Day

As National Energy Efficiency Day approaches on October 1, Columbia Gas of Ohio is encouraging customers to take steps to reduce energy use and lower utility bills during the colder months. The company recommends that customers prepare their homes this fall to improve energy efficiency. Columbia Gas of Ohio also offers the WarmChoice program for income-eligible customers. This initiative provides free weatherization services throughout the year, including air sealing, natural gas appliance repair or replacement, and wall insulation.

The company emphasized safety as its top priority. “If you smell the rotten egg-like odor of natural gas, stop what you are doing, leave the area, and call 911 and Columbia Gas at 800-344-4077 from a safe location,” the company stated.
